Malema’s expulsion finalised

On Tuesday night the ANC’s National Disciplinary Committee of Appeals confirmed Julius Malema’s expulsion from the party after many turns back and forth.

“In respect of the present disciplinary hearing, the [ANC National Disciplinary Committee of Appeal] NDCA confirms the sanction imposed by the NDC [National Disciplinary Committee] that the appellant be expelled from the ANC,” it declared.

Malema has been expelled due to for example bringing disgrace over the ANC and for remarks of bringing about regime change in Botswana.

The final decision means that Malema is, with immediate effect, no longer the president of the ANC Youth League.
